The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is the high-end version of the regular Galaxy Buds at price of $230. It is the latest model from the Korean tech giant, launched on August 26, 2022. These earbuds are considered among the best replacements for Apple Airpods that initiated the earbud trend which is amazingly popular now. Recently, Samsung stated its ability to record 360-degree sound for videos on users’ phones. It means that you can record with your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro when using Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Samsung’s new “360 Audio Recording” app allows this feature to be usable. Each earbud is used as the left and right microphones to record sounds from both sides while shooting videos. Then, when you play these videos in stereo or Dolby sound mode, they give off the perfect sound according to the location it was recorded.
The company stated in a press conference “The feature picks up 360-degree sound using a microphone in each earbud, placing viewers at the center of a roaring festival crowd or beside a bubbling brook in the middle of a forest. Users can pop in connected headphones and playback the video on their device or social media channel to hear lifelike and immersive sounds that emulate an in-person experience.” This feature is greatly advantageous for users who are content creators, video creators, video editors and people who are enjoying the stereo sound feature.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available for Samsung Galaxy phones which are running One UI 5.0 which are Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. It is expected to be available on the upcoming Galaxy S23 lineup as well. Therefore, if you are using the less high-end models, this feature is still unavailable. You will probably have to wait for a long time. If unluckily, it might be never present on older versions because of the hardware – software conflict.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro features several advanced features that satisfy anyone’s working and entertaining demands. They enable 24-bit Hi-Fi audio and are included with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and three microphones with a high signal-to-noise ratio. Reportedly, Samsung is also developing their upcoming flagship line up, Samsung Galaxy S23 that will launch later this year. Let’s all stay tuned for the upcoming news from these phones in the near future.
