Several Google Pixel 7 users have complained of issues with the devices. The very first issue is that their material is very poor which makes the devices imperfect and easier to be harmed. Its aluminum frame does not give off a satisfactory feeling for users therefore it is recommended to use a case. Moreover, the latest complaint relates to its function, specifically its video call and video quality which are both very bad.
Users have stated that while making video calls, the call quality is poorer than most phones from other brands of the same price. Even when they make calls via Google Meet, the video quality is terrible which is very blurry. Moreover, if you receive videos from your Pixel 7, those videos usually appear blurry and smudged. This is a huge backlash since video call is an essential feature for every smartphone. Other rivals such as Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, iPhone SE (3rd Generation), iPhone 11 and the OnePlus Nord N20 all have better video call quality as tested.
Online meetings via Zoom, Google Meet, Skype and video call via Messenger, WhatsApp are both important features that we all use on a daily basis. Therefore, it is considered unacceptable for poor experience with this feature. Even older devices are performing much better than this model. And certainly, this has nothing to do with date quality because it performs bad even with a Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Users suspect that these apps do not utilize the correct camera API, resulting in this issue. The earliest complaint started back in December 2022.
Previously, Google also received complaints because the rear camera glass shattered without any reason. There is something wrong with its material that makes it break intentionally. The user who complained got offered a product replacement from the company. At the price of $500 to $750, Google Pixel 7 series receives several compliments for its design and complements. However, as users’ experience with this series including Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, there are more and more issues reported and discovered. Google should best take action with these problems and fix them as soon as possible.
The Google Pixel was first introduced in 2016 and has a 7 year history with 7 different series, from the Google Pixel and Pixel XL to Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. The latest models all rolled out on October 6, 2022.
